Hoo boy, an emotionally raw brony picture. Let's take a look-see at what can be said about this piece.
First and foremost I'd like to congratulate you on two things:
One, not using a base. You've clearly put a lot of time and effort into this image, and it's apparent in its composition, colouring and sheer intricacy.
This is not to say that the image is perfect. I love the style; the colouration and blotchy paint really makes the colour pop, and the simplistic impressionism in the lack of background is very evocative, aesthetically. As it stands though the image itself is depicting something very grounded in reality- a heartfelt apology.
For brony art, this is very honest and (as I said) emotionally raw. Which is refreshing, given the usual level of maturity in the subject matter and community.
The characters are well-designed and feel authentic to the show. I particularly like the cutie mark on the green pony. That's what they're called right- those... Magic butt tattoos? The swirl is utterly convincing within the context, so that's to be congratulated.
My harshest criticism isn't the artistic ability shown, but rather the cliché of a crying youngling and a mature and udnerstanding elder figure. This is clearly not your intention, and the emotional honesty seen undermines the cliché and makes it work, but it's a fine line to tread, so I'd be careful not to infringe on these pieces too often.
Oh gosh, oh nooo British I'm sorry you're feeling badly. I'm not sure why you made this picture but even from the picture I can tell you're NOT a bad daughter or anything like that... I hope you can feel better soon.
it's a great picture, unfortunately it seems like your pony isn't alone in that, lots of people go each year without being able to spend time with their parents for one reason or another, some don't even know who their parents are.
when all is said and done atleast we always have each other to lean on in times of need and cover our backs. to you and everyone else who are feeling down i wish you a brighter tomorrow, as always your artwork is an inspiration to all
